Frequently asked questions
Is the invoice really free and without a watermark?
Yes to both. The PDF is generated on your device, so there is no service cost to recover through watermarks, accounts or monthly limits.
Where is my invoice data stored?
Only in your own browser's local storage, as a draft convenience. It never reaches a server, and Clear wipes it. For bookkeeping, keep the downloaded PDFs.
Does it handle GST correctly?
The rate you set is split into equal CGST and SGST lines, which is right for intra-state invoices. For inter-state invoices that need a single IGST line, set the full rate and relabel; a dedicated IGST toggle is on the roadmap.
